Yesterday, a seller in our locality (Tollygunge area in Kolkata), was selling tomatoes at a very cheaper rates. So I purchased lots of tomatoes.
After purchasing the tomatoes, I began to think what should I do with so many tomatoes?
Generally, I used tomatoes in curries in small quantities or cook Tomatoes dal, tomato Chutney and also sauce.
Then I decided to utilize the tomatoes by making Tomato Jam. This is the first time I prepared Tomato Jam. I often make Mango Jam, the recipe of Mango Jam I already published long ago in my SIMPLY DELICIOUS RECIPES blog.
Most of the Jam recipes are same. Tomato Jam Recipe is the easiest because the peeling of tomatoes is less tedious than that of mangoes, pineapples etc.
I prepared this homemade Tomato Jam Recipe without any preservative.
