Ingredients for preparing Patishapta batter

Flour - 1 cup

Semolina - 1/2 cup

Water or milk - 1 cup and 1/2 cup

Sugar - 6 teaspoons

Oil - As required

How to make Patishapta Pithe

Coconut stuffing Preparation

Heat a pan. Add sugar and 2 tablespoons water.

Let the sugar melt.

Now add the grated coconut. You can add khoya also if you want. Start stirring them continuously. Keep the flame low. When the coconut mixture becomes sticky, remove from the flame immediately.

Patishapta batter preparing process

In a bowl, add flour and semolina. Add 1 teaspoon oil and a pinch of salt.

Mix this well. Now start adding water slowly.  At first add half cup water. Mix this to make lump free. Now add the rest of the water.  Mix nicely to make a smooth batter.

Set aside for half an hour.

Now grease some oil on a non stick frying pan. Heat the pan.

Spread 2 full ladle batter. Spread this more on all sides lifting the frying pan to make the pancake thin. After a minute, when the pancake is cooked, add coconut stuffing on one side of the pancake.  Roll this from that side where coconut mixture is placed. Keep this on the frying pan for sometimes.

Remove this from the pan and put on a serving plate.

Now prepare all the patishapta pithes.

Now Patishapta Pithe is ready to eat and serve.

I will be glad if you prepare this Patishapta Recipe.
