PASTA WITH TOMATOES


Today pasta is one of the world’s most popular dishes.


Pasta is easy to prepare, can be cooked with less ingredients and within short time. 


There are around 350 different types, it is a little known fact that each shape and style is best suited to specific types of Italian cuisine.


Here is some types of Pasta –

Spaghetti, Penne, Fussilli, Macaroni, Rigatoni, Ravioli, Fettuccine, Orecchiette, Farfalle, Tortellini, Linguine, Buccatini, Pappardelle, Capellini, Gnocchi, Ditalini etc.


Among the above lists of Pasta, I am familiar with only Spaghetti, Penne, Fussilli, Macaroni, Fettuccine.  


The very mention of Spaghetti, one  Spaghetti dish comes to my mind that is Spaghetti Bolognese (meat is one of the ingredients of this Pasta dish). 


I often use in my Pasta dish Penne and Fussilli types of Pasta.


The recipe Pasta with Tomatoes is very simple easy to make with less ingredients. 


I am presenting here the cooking process of Pasta withTomatoes, step by step to make cooking this in simple manner for new as well as expert cooks.


Pasta with Tomatoes can be served in lunch, dinner and even in breakfast.


Furthermore, the ingredients that go into preparing it are easily available.


In this recipe, I have used spiral pasta, Fussilli as the main ingredient. You can use any type of Pasta to prepare this recipe.

Pasta with Tomatoes*


RECEIPE INGREDIENTS 

4 cups boiled Pasta 

1/2 cup chopped carrot

1/2 cup chopped beans 

2 cups (or as per your taste) chopped tomatoes 

4 tablespoons Olive Oil 

10 pieces black peppercorns

1 cup finely chopped onion 

3 teaspoons finely chopped garlic 

1 cup finely chopped capsicum 

1 tablespoon tomato ketchup 

2 teaspoons dried oregano 

2 teaspoons dry red chili flakes 

1 teaspoon sugar (optional) 

1/2 cup fresh cream 

Salt to taste 


For garnishing

2 tablespoons fresh cream, 2 tablespoons grated processed cheese 


HOW TO COOK PASTA WITH TOMATOES 

Boil Pasta perfectly in enough water adding salt. Do not overcook. Then strain and keep aside the boiled Pasta spreading 1 teaspoon Olive Oil.


Cook this Pasta dish on medium flame only. Do not cook on high flame.

 

Heat Olive Oil in a non stick pan. Add the peppercorns. Saute for a second.


Add the chopped onion and garlic. Saute for 2 minutes. 


Add the chopped carrot, beans and capsicum and saute for another 2 minutes. 


Add the tomatoes and salt. Mix well, cook for 5 minutes stirring occasionally. 


Add tomato ketchup, oregano, chili flakes and sugar. Mix well and cook for 1 minute. 


Add cream, stirring continuously for 1 minute. 


Add the boiled pasta, start stirring continuously for 2 minutes. 


Garnish with fresh cream and cheese. 


Now the Pasta with Tomatoes is ready for serving.
